This year's edition of the Starlight Festival in Southwest Nova Scotia promises to be a fantastic celebration of the mesmerizing night sky. From September 17th to the 24th, this week-long festival will showcase an array of exciting space-themed activities, products, and services that will captivate the interest of both stargazers and astronomy enthusiasts. 2023 Starlight Festival Schedule
Star Trek Trivia
Join us at Pair-A-Dice Bistro in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, on Friday, September 29th, at 7:30pm for an evening of interstellar exploration and trivia like no other.
Star themed trivia night
Join local trivia host Troy Crosby for a fun night of space themed trivia.
Astrophotography with a cellphone
Explore the different ways you can take photos of the Milky Way, Moon, planets, & nightscapes with your cellphone. A presentation and demonstrations will be given and well as hands on practice and one on one help.
Songs & Stars
Head out to the Hebron Rec Centre on Saturday, September 23rd for a fun night of songs and stargazing.
Counting Stars
A project you can do with your family. A citizen science project to help identify light polluted areas on the municipalties of Argyle, Clare, & Yarmouth. For participating in this project you will be entered to win prizes such as a Celestron Starsense Explorder DX 130AZ telescope. Click HERE for all the details.
Star Party - Clare
Join us on September 22 on the campus of Université Sainte-Anne for an evening of sky exploration and star-counting.
Star Party - Argyle
A fun evening for the whole family, food, drinks, presentations, prizes, & stars! (we hope :) ). Three star parties will take place at the same time, one in each of the municipalities, Argyle, Clare, & Yarmouth. They will be connected via zoom. Click for more info.

THINGS WE DO IN THE DARK
In association with the Starlight Festival, le Conseil des arts de la Baie is pleased to present its fall exhibit. On display are the works of CAB artists inspired by the phrase Things we do in the dark. Stop by Galerie Le Trécarré this fall in the Rendez-vous de la Baie Welcome Centre on the campus of Université Sainte-Anne. Free admission.
